I am new to these forums but see a ton of stuff I want to download. I know a bunch of the stuff just isn't compatible with 4.0 but not sure which ones. I know that most of the stuff wont work on Jelly without approval but I don't play there often so I will figure out something for when I do.

Is there a simple way to know what will or will not work with 4.0? Like is it just certain file types, or is it more intricate than that?

Allowed: .TGA , .DDS , .WAV (So Sound mods, Skins, Huds, Rect, textures. ect) Something with a simple edit like color or texture but not shape nor size.

Not Allowed: .W3D , (Models or anything that completly changes the look, shape, size of something)

Thats what I thought but I have 4.0 installed and I was able to use models, like Error's rep gun. So is it only the servers that block it? I thought 4.0 itself wouldn't let it run regardless of what the server says.

Server owners have a blocklist.ini and allowlist.ini and if they add certain things to allowlist for example w3d models then it will auto be allowed but stock 4.0. blocks all w3d files.
